On December 14,2021, the RBHP completed the excavation of the Adit4 of the underground powerhouse. The good news, coming after excavation of water diversion tunnel started on November 24 as well as construction of the outgoing line site connected on November 26, remarks a new progress of the water delivery structure construction. Since then,the RBHP came into follow-up construction of the lower horizontal section of the penstock.
As the impact of the epidemic sustained in 2021, construction of the RBHP was delayed. However, the project team managed miscellaneous difficulties lying ahead, actively mobilized and organized all construction units to address technical issues, as well as technology,quality and safety responsibilities. In the process of excavation of the Adit4, the team solved difficulties caused by abundant groundwater, interlaced faults and fissures, and other adverse factors such as heavy rainfall during the prolonged rainy season this year. It displayed that Shuifa people dare to take responsibility.Till now, the main structure of RBHP are organized, and the follow-up construction are becoming more critical. SHIC will make persistent efforts, continue to work hard in this winter. With the strong support of Shuifa group and the joint efforts of all participating units, SHIC will definitely set off a new climax in the construction of RBHP and win a ‘good start’ in the new year!
