Longtoutan hydropower Station is located in Shaerzong Township, Maerkang County, Aba Prefecture, Sichuan Province, at the lower reaches of the Chabao River, a tributary of the Zumuzu River in the northern of Maerkang County. The dam is  8-9m high, with the gross head is 150m, and the net head is 147.5m. The generation flow rate is 23m3/s. It is about 50km away from the county， and intersects with the highway from the county to Dazang Township, and also have convenient transportation. With an installed capacity of 1×24MW mixed-flow unit, its annual generation capacity is 124.33 million kW·h, the annual utilization fraction is 5180h, and the static total investment is 230 million. Construction of the power station was started in 2010 after being approved by the Development and Reform Commission of Aba Prefecture. In August 2018, the construction of the power station was completed and put into operation for power generation. At present, it mainly supplies power to the state grid company, and strives to eventually supply power to the state grid provincial company.
